Inspired by the meeting Middle Eastern and Mediterranean musical traditions, singer/ songwriter Olcay Bayır is was born inTurkey, based in London. She was nominated for best newcomer in Songlines Music Awards – 2015, just after her debut “Neva/ Harmony” was published in Oct 2014 by Riverboat Record. Her contemporary sound incorporates elements of her musical heritage, jazz and neo-classical and 21st Century urban sounds with evocative vocal deliveries through her original compositions and arrangements of traditional songs of Anatolia, the Mediterranean. 

Olcay Bayır is currently working on her second solo album, to be released in 2017.
